I have just arrived home to Tasmania after a HUGE weekend in Melbourne at The Big Design Market! This is the biggest event I have ever exhibited at and what an amazing time we had - I am utterly exhausted but very happy after my biggest Red Parka event yet!
There were over 200 exhibitors on show at the beautiful Royal Exhibition Buildings in Melbourne. Here’s some of my favourite pics and treasures of the event but as I was so busy I didn't get to see that much at all (and even these pics were snapped with my phone whilst scurrying to and from the coffee cart!)....
From the top, The Mod Collective, Captain Robbo Adventure Pants (two of these beauties came home with me!), fellow Tasmanians The Maker and 2K Labware. |
From the top - Me!! Next to the lovely folk from Cycle Style, Sustainable Stubbies, Oktoberdee and gorgeously bright Otto & Spike. |
I love that the BDM has such a sustainable angle.... I stocked up from all these stores, Joco (coolest coffee cup ever), Who Gives A Crap and Thankyou, whose water and muesli bars saved me on many occasions. |
This lot are just a few of my favourite iPhone snaps from the weekend in Melbourne.... how amazing is that star installation under the dome?? |
Looking through the Big Design Market Designer Directory I see so many stalls that I missed! If you really want to see some of the best design Australia has to offer, you should have a browse through this list.....
I know it's Thursday but I am still catching up on sleep..... so it's good night for now and I'll be seeing you again soon! Jen x
What an awesome show. I want one of everything from the show. Hope you have a great day!
