On Tour: A Compendium of Collective Nouns!

Hello friends!

My goodness, what a crazy couple of weeks! My book launched on the 14th and ever since I have been inundated with orders and markets and questions and traffic.... it's been the most overwhelming and exciting creative adventure of my life!

My launch on the left and getting a thrill from seeing my book in the window next to The Little Prince on the right!

I love what I do, and would continue to do it with or without public validation. But, seriously, seeing how much people love my book is SOOOOO satisfying! It's amazing and humbling and fills me with excitement for the future.

So thank you - to everyone who has bought my book, who supported my Pozible campaign to fund the publishing and who shared it with the family and friends. You have made this small-time Tasmanian artist a very happy girl!

Looking rather smug and proud of myself at the Cruise Terminal Markets last week.
Thanks to Wade Skelly for the photo!

Over the last week, while I was off in Adelaide at the wonderful Bowerbird Bazaar, my book went on a virtual book tour to some of my favourite blogs! If you missed it, you can visit me and my friends here:

Cassie-Jene
Cassie-Jene writes about having a happy and creative business life - a great resource for small, creative business owners like myself!

Creating Happy
Jessie from Creating Happy was my first US tour stop - her blog is a wonderful journey of a girl on a mission to build a happy, creative, sustainable and fulfilling life. I'm going to visit her in real life one day!

74 Lime Lane
Kellie from 74 Lime Lane is a super talented photographer who keeps me entertained and up to date with all things design on her fabulous blog. Her kids interviewed me for this post - so fun!

Kitty & Buck
Kitty & Buck is one of my favourite Australian blogs - Kitty has great style, a penchant for all things Japanese, and is a sweet, motivated and inspiring creative entrepreneur to boot!

Grits & Moxie
Lovely Jennifer from Grits & Moxie writes about life in Georgia, USA, her photography and baking adventures with a sweet dose of feminism for good measure.

Style for a Happy Home
Style for a Happy Home is the blog of Melbourne blogger Dannielle who shares lots of great tips about design, happiness, being creative AND organised (yes, it is possible).

Tractorgirl
If you want to learn about good design and read the stories behind it (and the people who create it), then Tractorgirl is where you need to be!

If you haven't got a copy of the book yet and you want one they are available in my Etsy Store for $25!

Much love and gratitude to you all! My feet will hit the ground soon and we'll get back to some sense of normality.... see you soon! Jen x

  4. I am so happy for you!!!!! I love that picture of you as well. I think it's so awesome that you are doing what you love everyday. You truly are "living YOUR dream". :) And yes, it would be awesome to meet you someday. We could hike up a mountain together, I think that would be fun.
