Well, it has surely been an amazing week here at Red Parka because my illustrated book project reached it's funding goal on Pozible!! I am so excited by this and want to thank all of you who helped and shared and encouraged me..... you guys rock! Now I just need to finish the book and send it off to be printed!
If you have been meaning to contribute but haven't yet, it's not too late! My campaign still has 5 days left (it finishes July 23rd) and there are still some great rewards up for grabs, including some $6 blog advertising packages for you bloggers out there! Any extra funds will be dedicated to marketing and promotion, to help me get my book out into the big wide world! Super exciting!
Red Parka in Blogland!
This week I have been fortunate to have been featured on two lovely blogs!
The Dubious Hausfrau interviewed me about the book and has one of my original prints to giveaway so totally worth checking that out!
Also, lovely Laura from Creativity Unmasked wrote a post about my campaign and as a special treat for her readers, we shared one of my new drawing from the book that has yet to be shared! Take a look here!
But, enough book talk for today..... despite being very distracted this week with my book, I still have a few fabulous finds to share with you and some great reading in the links below. Enjoy!
I found myself fascinated with this series of photographs by Eirik Johnson called Barrow Cabins. The series depicts seasonal hunting cabins in summer and winter in Barrow, Alaska, 320 miles inside the Arctic Circle. Well worth clicking through to his website to check out the whole series.
Love the new tea towel design, Auspicious, by the super talented Nicole from Yardage Design. Such a great design and as always, fabulous colours!
This book looks fabulous, don't you think? Another gem found on the lovely Meet Me At Mike's blog.
I love these phone pouches by Rabbit And The Duck so much I got one of my very own a couple of weeks ago when I was in Brisbane at Finders Keepers!
And lastly, these honeycomb dream pendants I found on Etsy, by Alexandra Tosti Design, are pretty awesome!
Links for your weekend reading pleasure!
If you ever wanted to learn about Google analytics but found it all too overwhelming, here's a great post that simply explains it all from Found Love Now What.
I have found many interesting articles and artist on 74 Lime Lane and this feature on Marine from OAK Gallery is no exception!
I loved this post about learning to love discomfort to help us grow. Good read!
This article lists 11 ultra compact living pods and systems... I absolutely love it - serious fuel for the minimalist fire burning within me!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
