And so the adventure begins! PLUS - want to meet Red Parka?

WOMADelaide was amazing!

This must have been one of my best festival experiences ever..... we made excellent sales, heard some great music, ate delicious food, met some fabulous people. It was hot. Very hot for us cool-blooded Tasmanians. But we survived with lots of iced water and the occasional chilled cider.

The highlight?? Without a doubt seeing Billy Bragg live - what a legend! It's hard to tell but that's him in the purplish photo above. It was definitely one of 'those' moments getting to see him perform live!

How cute is that dragonfly that landed in one of Wade's pendant boxes??
I think he thought he was flying into the rainforest.....
After WOMAD I spent a day in Adelaide visiting a few bookstores with my book and drinking coffee at my favourite Adelaide haunts before driving south for my first visit to the Fleurieu Peninsula. This is a regions famous for beaches, wine and cheese - so pretty much my idea of heaven.

Today we went across to Kangaroo Island and will spend the next few nights here, before heading back to the Peninsular for another couple of days.

Want to meet Red Parka??

Well, Red Parka wants to meet you, that's for sure!!

In the next week or two I'll be making my way back towards Melbourne from SA via the Great Ocean Road. Planning to stop in at lots of towns along the way - Robe, Millicent, Penola, Port Fairy, Port Campbell, Warrnambool, Apollo Bay, Lorne, Torquay..... just a few! So if you live around these parts please do drop me a line - I am always on the look out for a good coffee date and am keen to meet up with as many interesting, creative people as I can along the way!

Maybe that's you!!
