Hello folks! It's Friday again and I am absolutely crazy busy flat out finishing up the illustrations for my book!
I hope things are a little calmer in your world, although, this madness is pretty damn exciting and the truth it, I really wouldn't have it any other way. But for now, I'm going to get straight back to it and leave you with a few nice things I've found this week and some reading, just in case, unlike me, you actually have time to read this weekend! Enjoy! x
Ikat designs, like the patterns on these bowls from West Elm, seem to be popping up all over the place lately. Which is totally fine by me!
This week I drew the meerkat page for my upcoming book and so when I stumbled across this photo I knew I just had to share it! It's from the 1950s, taken in South Africa and is called "White Kids Washing Meerkat". Who would've thought?
And from meerkats to normal, fluffy lovable domestic cats.... just look at these pics from cat cafes around the world! From Japan to Russia and beyond, cat cafes are apparently taking off! Check this post here for a list of 15 Cool Cat Cafes!
I think I would like to leave these orange gumboots by this billy goat door mat. Wouldn't you?? Both of these can be found on the lovely Mozi online store.
Loving these sweet notebooks by Olive And The Volcano (love that shop name too!)
Some linky love...
If you need some business card inspiration there's some great ideas over on Paper & Stitch.
Truth is, I am not a sentimental person. But maybe you are! And if so, you may like this post on Style For A Happy Home full of decluttering tips from a sentimental person.
If you happen to live in Portland, OR, I really think you should get yourself down to the opening party at the Tiny House Hotel tomorrow night! I would go with you if I could.......
Here's some excellent advice on writing clickable blog post titles for you bloggers looking to learn a few tricks over the weekend.
And if you need some help getting organised, April over on Blacksberg Belle has a list of 10 books to help you up your productivity!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone! Are you doing anything exciting?

The west elm bowls and Olive and the Volcano notebooks are ADORABLE. I love love love them. I've never heard of a cat cafe. My kitty wouldn't be interested though - she is a one cat house and puts up a fit every time we even think of bringing in another cat!!
