Greetings all + welcome to another FOMM post!
This collection of 33 Beautiful Abandoned Spaces really caught my imagination..... these are three of my favourite but the whole list is well worth a look!
It's been a busy week here at Red Parka Global Headquarters as I have reorganised myself after two weeks away at festivals on the mainland (aka Australia!). Fun times! Here's some of my favourite finds from the week for you to peruse... enjoy!
As you know, my beloved overgrown puppy is called Benny, so when I heard of a designer working under the name Go Benny Go I clicked over with alacrity! (Ok, so I've been reading Charlotte Bronte lately and love that word 'alacrity', and as such, am using it whenever possible!) Thankfully, I was not disappointed - New Zealand designer Brenda Sutton makes gorgeous patterns with such bright colours I was smitten! Aren't they fabulous?
I simply adore the illustrations (and quirky text) in this lovely book called Lost Cat: A True Story of Love, Desperation, and GPS Technologyby Caroline Paul and illustrated by Wendy McNaughton.

Brandon is an artist from Seattle who has just launched his Etsy shop - he has lots of quirky pieces but I particularly like this old sea captain with his accordian. In fact, I kinda want to drink whisky with him for a afternoon and listen to rambling tales of his seafaring adventures!
I stumbled across this guy and love what he's doing! Check out his website for info and pics of his Knitted Army products.
Aren't these Happy Cat Tea Towels from Mr PS adorable?
Hope you all have a fun weekend planned! I'll be busy at the markets, peddling my art and drinking large amounts of coffee! Should be fun! Jen x

Great finds! Knitted army is really neat - he has so many unique projects! And I love Brandon's illustration.
ReplyDeleteSo many awesome finds! Those abandoned places are incredible!
ReplyDeleteI love the 33 abandoned places! The amusement parks are a bit creepy looking! It would be fun to photograph some of these places. Have a great weekend!
