Have you been planning incredible things for 2013?
I have big dreams for this year and using this planner (by Leonie Dawson) has been really fun and helpful. It's pretty kooky but I love the bright colours, strange little drawings and the obvious love that's been put into it. Mine is mostly filled up with my messy scrawl now but here's a little peek for you on one of my favourite pages... What do you want to be doing this year?
There are a gazillion answers to this question, but I've tried to narrow it down a little to some broad ideas that I flesh out later on in the planner (making actionable steps!)
This is my list:
- I want to be drawing and writing as my main occupation.
- I want to be writing (and then publishing) a book.
- I want to be learning new things ie. fabric designing and screen printing.
- I want to be making more money.
- I want to be living everyday as an artist.
It always feels a little odd to me to write making money as a goal, but 2012 was really tough financially and it caused me a lot of anxiety that I can really do without. I don't need a lot of money to be happy, but it would be so nice not to have to worry about things like if I'll be able to afford the next electricity bill. Australia is a wonderful country to live in but it is very expensive so I have decided I need to stop shying away from money issues and proudly go about making some! Wish me luck!
What do you want to be doing this year?

That planner does look fun! How can't you be inspired when using it??? :) I have so many things I hope to do this year. A lot of it for me has to do with my physical health and traveling. I do want to draw more. I used to years ago and have just let my talent slip away. :( I can understand the money thing. It's different if you want to just be able to pay your bills VS. wanting a new sports car. ha! Good luck with all your goals in the new year. :)
ReplyDeleteRight at THIS moment, I want to understand wordpress so I can build my own pretty place - and then I want to travel, as always. Besides that, I just want to see what the days holds. :-)
ReplyDeleteI NEED to check this planner out. I looked at it from your past post but I think this might really help get me in a better mood. I love your goals and there is no reason why making money for your hard work shouldn't be one of them!!!
