I missed Friday On My Mind last week as I was in crazy market mode. Mind you, crazy market mode pretty much describes the last two weeks in my world! Still, I'm back today with some fun things to lift your creative spirits for the weekend!
This is kinda crazy - the world's biggest coffee bean mural! Made by Russian artist Arkady Kim, the mural, titled 'Awakening' (love it!) is in Moscow. The beans were roasted to get different shades then glued on one by one. It must have been so fun to work on this with the constant smell of coffee wafting around you while you worked.
Melbourne craft queen Pip has just released her Good Stuff Christmas Guide and it's full of good stuff! Unsurprisingly! Check out more on Pip's super fun blog Meet Me At Mike's. That Australia embroidery DIY looks so fun.... might have to give that one a shot!
Seriously, how cool is this Marimekko plane?? In a very fun collaboration, Marimekko and Finnair have put together these promos.... lots more to see over on Design Boom.
I want to see a movie in this cinema!! Sol Cinema is a travelling eight-seat caravan cinema entirely run by solar power. Possibly the coolest thing ever. Agree?
I love Lisa Congdon's work and this one is super appropriate as I am thinking so much about clearing out the house for the New Year.
Have a great weekend everyone! I'm off to the market tomorrow and have a free Sunday - amazing! I think a rice paper roll lunch with friends is on the menu, hopefully somewhere outside as we are having the most gorgeous weather in Tasmania at the moment. What are your weekend plans? Jen x
awww sorry we didn't go outside today. I just realised that we should have moved the table and chairs out onto the porch!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed having you all for lunch anyway and very happy that I can finally make rice paper rolls without having a heap of mint and greens left over!
