Hello! I've just returned home from my two day retreat in a tipee! I wanted to hide out for a couple of days, have some space and time to think and to work on some new projects. And that I did! Now I'm back and frantically getting ready for a big weekend of markets but first, I have some fun things to share with you, starting with my tipee!
This place is really so cool - in a beautiful bush reserve called Mount Misery, Huon Bush Retreats has tipees, campsites, a few cabins, an outdoor bath, a camp kitchen and even a labyrinth! I spent two nights sharing my tipee with a pygmy possum (who stole my cauliflower) and a wood heater, listening to birds singing in the trees outside. It was bliss.
Aren't they adorable? The pygmy possum in my tipee was so quick I never got a good look at him so I found these pics online for those of you who have never seen one. They are not much bigger than a mouse. So cute!

How gorgeous is this little home? I found this on Pinterest but could not locate the link to the original source.... so it remains a mystery. I wish I could see inside!
This is awesome - the first ever photo taken in Finland!! It dates back to 1842 and was taken by the local doctor in Turku. Isn't it funny that now we have iPhones and filters to make our photos look like this!
And speaking of Finland, I am loving the new holiday decor collection from Marimekko.
So sweet and so important yet so hard sometimes.
So it's Friday night and I'm about to settle into another night of production in preparation for not one but two markets tomorrow! I lead such an exciting life! Have a great weekend everyone! Jen x
Wow staying in a teepee and with your new little friend.
ReplyDeleteIt must have been lovely to get away for a couple of days.

It sure was! I think I need to do that more regularly - so good for the soul! x

ReplyDeleteThose possums are the cutest damn thing I've ever ever ever seen. And that little home looks like a dream.
Oh my god those pygmy possum are so cute! Although I may freak out seeing them in my room at first. And such a sweet message in the last picture, it's a nice reminder. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the bear drawing. Pencil line perfection!
