Friday On My Mind #16 - Treehouses, Geometric Landscapes and Painting with Tulle!

It's Friday again and today I am cosy inside my studio listening to the hail on the roof... it's crazy out there! But here in the warmth I have some fun things to show you....

First of all, these smoothies look delicious and so healthy! Will have to try them - what a good idea to put them in jars in the fridge too!

I have a serious love of treehouses so was thrilled to stumble across this lovely collection on the Wilde Asher blog. This one is in Scotland, my ancestoral home! One day I'm gonna build my own... I really am!

How incredible are these animal portraits? They are from a new book by photographer Tim Flach called More Than Human. They are just amazing.

Speaking of amazing, these portraits of famous people kind of blow my mind - they are made from tulle! Yes, the fabric! UK artist Benjamin Shine 'paints' these large scale portraits by folding and manipulating tulle.... incredible! Be sure to check out his site for more finished pieces as well as in progress shots.

I think these geometric-inspired landscapes of Iceland are pretty cool, don't you? They are by Icelandic graphic artist Siggi Eggertsson. I am dying to visit Iceland one day!

And finally, a little bit of geekery for good measure - check out these cute and stylish little devices for recharging your iPad, iPhone or iPod on the go. I'm always forgetting to recharge so one of these in the handbag would be excellent, especially when I'm on the road.

I am still feeling quite exhausted from my week at the Tasmania Craft Fair but am slowly recovering - today I have one of those boring days of errands ahead of me (bank, post office, all the daily tasks I've ignored for the last week!) and then getting myself ready for another big weekend of markets - Salamanca on Saturday the the very first Kingston Beach Handmade Market on Sunday. Hope this hail goes away by then!

What exciting things have you got planned for the weekend?
